GENERAL POLICY FOR RETURNING PRODUCTS

 

I. POLITICS

A. The return of merchandise from Customers to Droguería Betances, LLC., will have the following considerations:

  1. Returning merchandise that does not comply with the process and requirements set forth herein is not permitted.
  2. 2. The established schedule for the delivery of returned merchandise is 4:00 am to 4:30 pm from Monday to Friday.

Droguería Betances LLC. reserves the right to revise this policy without notice.

II. PROCESS AND GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR RETURNING GOODS

 A. GENERAL RULES:

  1. Only returned merchandise will be received whose origin is from Droguería Betances, LLC. The merchandise must be properly identified with the seal of Droguería Betances.
  2. All returned goods must be accompanied by:
    1. Form of CREDIT MEMORANDUM – Products in Good Condition.
    2. Form of CREDIT MEMORANDUM – Expired Products.
      This form must have the following information: name of the pharmacy or customer, address, date of return, description of the product (name, dosage, presentation), lot number, product quantity, unit, price, invoice number, and the reason (specify), as applicable.
  1. The customer may not deduct from any outstanding invoice the amount of the refund until he receives the official credit of Droguería Betances, LLC.
  2. No credit will be granted for merchandise received under the following conditions:
    1. Merchandise that is not returned in its original packaging, without labels, and/or mutilated or altered merchandise, damaged (lot number and expiration date must be intact).
    2. Open and/or incomplete containers or packaging, unless the manufacturer approves the return of partials, in its return policy.
    3. Products with broken internal seals.
  3. Credit Application:
    1. It will be guaranteed 7 days for the credits application and adjudication to the client’s account.
    2. 2. For branded products that have lost their patent, they may be returned until 60 days after the date on which the generic drug is available on the market.

 

B.  EXPIRED PRODUCTS:

  1. Expired products must be packaged and separated from products in good condition.
  2. These products must be accompanied by the corresponding form: CREDIT MEMORANDUM – Expired Products.
    NOTE: The credit will be awarded per the return policy of the pharmaceutical or manufacturing company.

 

C.  UNEXPIRED PRODUCTS IN GOOD CONDITION:

  1. Product returns will be accepted if the customer makes the claim within 60 days from the date of purchase of the product.
  2. These products must be accompanied by the corresponding form: CREDIT MEMORANDUM – Products in Good Condition.
  3. The product must be at least eleven (11) months old, (11 months before its expiration date).
  4. Credit will be given to the pharmacy for the amount billed, minus any discounts applied in case the bill has been paid.

 

D.  REFRIGERATOR PRODUCTS:

  1. Expired
    1. You must contact the telephone number: 787-653-1200 280 or 274, the returns department to manage the return authorization. It will not require the product to be packaged in a refrigerated shipping system. Note: The credit will be awarded according to the return policy of the pharmaceutical or manufacturing company.
  2. No Expired 
    1. No returns will be accepted unless the product is rejected upon delivery.

 

E.  CYTOTOXIC MEDICINES:

  1. 1. All cytotoxic drugs must be returned inside their “BIOHAZARD” bag and packaged separately from the other drugs, the box must be identified, as “Chemotherapy Drug”.
  2. Expired
    1. 1. You must contact the return department at 787-653-1200 ext. 280 or 274 to manage the return authorization.
      Note: The credit will be awarded according to the return policy of the pharmaceutical or manufacturing company.
  3. No Expired
    1. No returns will be accepted unless the product is rejected upon delivery.

 

F.  Injectable

  1. Only injectable products will be returned in boxes. Under no circumstances will returns of injectables in partial boxes be accepted.
  2. It must comply with Section D of this document if it is a refrigerated product.

 

G.  CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES

  1. Returns of Controlled Substances will not be accepted unless the product is rejected upon delivery.
  2. Droguería Betances will NOT collect expired products of Controlled Substances.

 

H.  “DRUG RECALL” (Product Pickup)

  1. The merchandise in “DRUG RECALL”, must be returned according to the instructions of the “Drug Recall” Notice sent by Droguería Betances, LLC.
